Common Questions
Why does my calculator result differ from my actual paycheck?
Our calculators use standard deductions and do not account for your specific W-4 withholding elections, itemized deductions, local city taxes, pre-tax benefit elections beyond standard inputs, or other individual factors. Results are estimates — see our Disclaimer for details.
How do I report a calculation error?
Please describe the inputs you used (salary, state, filing status) and the result you received. If you know the correct figure, include that too. We investigate every report.
Can you add a calculator for my state or situation?
We already cover all 50 states and DC. If you have a suggestion for a new calculator type or feature, we'd love to hear it.
Do you offer an API or embed code?
We do not currently offer a public API or embed code. If you're interested in a partnership or licensing arrangement, mention that in your message.
