Our Mission
NetPayTools was built around a simple idea: every worker in America should be able to instantly see exactly how much of their salary they actually take home. Understanding your paycheck shouldn't require a tax degree or an expensive accountant.
We provide free, clear, and accurate salary and tax calculators for all 50 US states and Washington DC — updated every year for the latest federal and state tax rules. No sign-up. No ads. No stored data.
What We Do
Our calculators help you answer questions like:
- How much will I take home on a $75,000 salary in California?
- What's the difference in net pay between Texas and New York?
- If I earn $22/hour, what is my annual salary and monthly take-home?
- How much will each paycheck be after taxes?
- What is my effective federal tax rate?
Each calculator accounts for federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare (FICA), and state income tax — giving you a line-by-line breakdown of every deduction.
Our Calculators
Our Principles
Accuracy First
We update our calculators every year to reflect the latest IRS federal tax brackets, FICA rates, standard deductions, and all 50 state tax tables. For 2026, that means current brackets, current FICA wage bases, and state-level rules.
Always Free
Every calculator on NetPayTools is free, with no account, no subscription, and no paywalls. We believe basic financial information should be accessible to everyone.
Private by Design
Your salary and income data never leaves your browser. Our calculators run entirely client-side. We do not store, log, or transmit any of your financial inputs.
Works Everywhere
NetPayTools is optimized for all screen sizes — desktop, tablet, and mobile. Whether you're at your desk or checking a job offer on your phone, our tools work instantly.
How Accurate Are Our Calculators?
Our calculators apply the exact 2026 federal income tax brackets, standard deduction amounts, FICA rates, and state-specific tax tables published by the IRS and individual state revenue departments.
What our calculators include:
- Federal income tax (2026 IRS brackets, all filing statuses)
- Social Security tax — 6.2% on wages up to $176,100
- Medicare tax — 1.45% on all wages (plus 0.9% on wages over $200K)
- State income tax for all 50 states and DC
- Standard deduction for filing status
- Optional pre-tax deductions (401k, HSA, health insurance)
What our calculators do not include: itemized deductions, tax credits, local city taxes, self-employment taxes, or individual circumstances that vary from standard withholding. Results are estimates. See our Disclaimer for full details.
All 50 States + DC
Every state in the US has its own income tax system — from states with no income tax at all (like Texas and Florida) to states with progressive brackets reaching over 13% (like California). Our state-specific calculators account for each state's unique rules.
